Demand rises for test automation skills
Manual testing alone is no longer enough to move into senior QA roles.
Almost every QA job advert from local software companies now mentions automation. Selenium, PyTest or Playwright — experience in at least one is expected.
That does not make manual testing redundant. Without a solid grasp of test case design, risk analysis and bug reporting, automation scripts add little.
A practical order: learn manual testing properly, then automation in one language. An ISTQB certification carries extra weight on a CV, especially for overseas clients.
